Children’s Ministries

Sunbeams is a Christian character building programs open to girls who are in the first through fifth grades. The programs focus on helping girls learn about themselves and their world. They are designed to help guide girls toward spiritual, physical and social well-being, and help them understand their potential as individuals. This is done through programs centered around education, fellowship, service and worship, by working on badges and awards that focus on these areas and through educational field trips and camping experiences.

Adventure Corps: Explorers is a Christian Education Program designed for boys in first through fourth grades. Its purpose is to assist boys in developing their individuality and potential in the following ways:

• Through group interaction with leaders and other boys.
• By discovering the importance of Christian values and Biblical truths.
• Through the development of physical, mental, and social skills.
• By providing a balanced environment for learning, developing and caring that is child-oriented and Christ-centered.

Junior Soldiers is an age-specific discipleship model for children aged 8-11 years in The Salvation Army. The aim is to increase the children’s knowledge and understanding of Bible truth, Christian doctrine and Army practice and history.
